Evaporation

We plan to evaporate in a magnetic trap, then an optical dipole trap. It will be an all-potassium evaporation, without sympathetic cooling, unlike for the chip experiment.

QT Coils
Magnetic evaporation takes place in a quadrupole trap. The coils used to make this trap were wound by Oswald GmbH.

RF source
Oscillating magnetic field in the lattice chamber is generated via a transmitter coil mounted on the imaging window. The coil is driven by the Microwave Source, and can create fields with frequencies from 1160MHz to 1300MHz.
